Eve Aspinwall back
| Eve Aspinwall was born in Quonset, Rhode
Island on November 7, 1951. Born into a family of writers, actors, and
visual artists, she began to study drawing at an early age. She attended
Massachusetts College of Art in Boston from 1974-1978, graduating with a
BFA in Printmaking and a Graduation with Distinction award.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT For the past twenty years my work has evolved around the themes of dream and memory. I use a visual language of symbols, forms and colors to describe emotional states and the intuitive process. All of my experience seems to flow into my work, both dark and light, and there is often a sort of narrative quality, or a moment, a fragment of a story. I hope that my paintings evoke the viewer's own memories of moments, whether dreamed or lived, during which transformation occured. Exhibition list furnished on request |
